SparkSCADA is a SCADA framework built on Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform. It provides standardized objects, screens, and base component UDTs (user defined types), so you can deliver robust SCADA solutions faster and with more consistency across projects.
It is designed primarily for manufacturing processes, including oil, gas, power, energy, and utilities for a variety of industries.
Many teams use it as a standard framework when modernizing legacy SCADA, migrating to Ignition, or consolidating multiple HMIs into a unified platform.
Ignition gives you the tools to build anything. SparkSCADA gives you a starting point. Instead of building objects, navigation, and alarm structures from scratch in Ignition, you begin with a library of pre-built components and proven design patterns that you can configure and extend.
The SparkSCADA library includes common industrial objects such as pumps, valves, motors, tanks, level/flow/pressure transmitters, analog and digital I/O blocks, and key unit operations like mixers or CIP-style units.
Each object is engineered with graphics, tags, basic diagnostics, and alarming already tied together, so you can drop them into your project and configure rather than recreate.
